I am a firm believer that going out and experiencing new and enjoyable things is very healthy for the mind. Below is a list of cool websites that will help you find out what is going on:
- Brighton Dome - more high brow. Listings, reviews and booking info for a wide-range of productions.
- Brighton Life - going out. Lots and lots of dates and reviews of local entertainment.
- Last Orders Please - Brighton pub times. Want to know what time the pubs in Brighton close?
- Dan Jones' Blog - "The Proper Study of Mankind". A local man's blog, discussing topics such as Evolutionary Biology and other science stuff.
- Duke of Yorks - independent cinema. Full listings and online booking, plus reviews of the better films out there.
- Insight - Brighton and Hove info. Lots of great 'alternative' articles.
- Kent Tourism - weekend breaks in kent. Getaway to Kent. This site has all the info on it's hotels, restaurants, cycling holidays and everything you need for a UK break.
- Komedia - funny stuff. Listings, reviews and booking info for a diverse range of comedy acts.
- The Real Brighton Fringe - the best of the fest'. The more ambitious and diverse festival.
- Red Agency - field sales. A great local company that my mate work for, they do experiential marketing, event marketing and promotional marketing, whatever that is!
- This is Brighton - local news. A comprehensive site brought to you by the Argus with coverage of leisure and also classifides.
- Virtual Brighton & Hove - local goings on. Exactly what it says on the tin: "The one-stop-shop for tourists, conference organisers and delegates, day trippers, language students, shoppers, businesses, culture-vultures, roller-bladers, long lunch takers and just about anyone else you care to mention".
